God of War: Ascension (2013)

The game returns to the birthplace of the series and is set before Chains of Olympus. After the tragedy in which Kratos' wife and child are killed, Kratos breaks the oath with Ares. Ares is enraged by Kratos' betrayal and sends the Furies after him, to brutally torture him. However, Kratos is helped by Orkos, the oathkeeper, who does not support the actions of Ares and the Furies. Orkos teaches Kratos that he must journey to find the Oracle, who can lead him to a way to rid himself of the Furies once and for all.
