Final Fantasy XIII (2009)

Final Fantasy XIII takes place in the world of Cocoon. Created by a supernatural being known as a Fal'Cie, Cocoon is humanity's safe haven from the hostile influences emanating from Pulse. Communication between Cocoon and Pulse is strictly forbidden by Cocoon's sacred government, The Sanctum. Any resident who attempts to contact Pulse will be immediately banished from Cocoon by the Sanctum. When a former Cocoon soldier named Lightning is sent on a mission to Pulse to destroy a Pulse Fal'Cie, she and two other exiles, Vanille and Hope, are chosen as Pulse Fal'Cie slaves. With the new powers she now has as a Pulse L'Cie, she risks being turned into a Cie'th if she does not complete her 'Focus' in time. The 'Focus' she is given is to destroy her homeworld, Cocoon...
